A summer break
A note on pausing new posts (and paid subscriptions) and where to find me until I’m back September 1.
My favorite thing about Little Loves has been having a place to write a little more slowly.
The internet often rewards quantity over quality, hot takes, and posting before you’ve fully formed a thought. This newsletter has felt like the opposite — a chance to sit with ideas for a while before sharing them.
Since launching in January, I’ve loved our Tuesday and every other Thursday rhythm, and I’m so grateful for every one of you who has spent part of your week here.
But as we head into summer, I’ve decided to do something that feels both exciting and a little scary: I’m taking a summer break from publishing new posts on Little Loves.
Now through the end of August, I’ll be pausing paid subscriptions and regular posts. This is the first summer since 2018 that I’m not pregnant or nursing, and I’ve found myself longing to be fully present for it. I want long beach days, outdoor showers, bike rides, sunset dinners, sandy floors, and all the ordinary little moments that end up becoming the stories we tell years later.

The funny thing about writing is that sometimes the best stories come from stepping away from the laptop and living a little more life.
While Little Loves is on pause, I’ll still be sharing everyday outfits, favorite finds, and summer adventures on Instagram, TikTok, and my blog Design Darling. And if you’re new here, you’re welcome to explore the archives while I’m away.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading. And thank you for giving me the space to enjoy this season fully.
I’ll see you back here September 1 with new stories to tell.
xx
Mackenzie
P.S. If you’re a paid subscriber, I’ve paused billing for the entire time I’m off, so you won’t be charged this summer. Your subscription is automatically frozen and will pick back up when I return, and the full archive of paywalled posts will stay open to you the whole time. Thank you for being here and investing in my work and words — I am truly grateful.

Enjoy! Looking forward to seeing snippets of Nantucket on Instagram!
I love that! And good for you! I’ve also decided to take the summer off work (though maybe not blogging as that’s been therapeutic) and enjoy it to the fullest with our kiddos. It will be the first full summer in yeaaars that I don’t have to work and I can’t wait!
